"We are River People" Community project, felting the river at the Chesterfield Gorge

Together we will create a wall hanging celebrating the Wild & Scenic Westfield River.  Fabric artist Marjolaine Arsenault will be under the tent at the Chesterfield Gorge with all the felting bits and bobs you need. Just bring your love of the river.

Anyone who passes can add a bit of color, fish, dragonfly, Macroinvertebrate, oxygen, turtle, crayfish or vegetation!!

This Wall hanging will “Travel the Watershed” hung in each of our ten Wild & Scenic towns, over the next few years, to be enjoyed by all.

Come put yourself in the flow and join the river enthusiasts.

The river scarves that are presently on display at the Becket Art Center through June 7th will also be on display under the tent at the Chesterfield Gorge for you to enjoy and get inspiration from.

This opportunity is made possible through a grant from the Wild & Scenic Westfield River Committee and the Trustees of Reservations. It was inspired by the “We are River People” workshop series in collaboration with The Nature conservancy.
