Intern Program

Every summer the Wild & Scenic Westfield River Committee offers one to three paid internships to college students interested in ecology and careers in environmental sciences. The interns work with Wild & Scenic Westfield River Committee’s contractors and volunteers on a range of projects depending on the current needs and focus areas of the Committee.

Over the years interns have focused on pollinators, invasive species management and research, stream connectivity and outreach. Students are provided with training and opportunities for joint and independent research.

Many of the Wild & Scenic Westfield River Committee’s interns have gone on to rewarding environmental careers.
