Enjoy the watershed while you help protect it. Become a volunteer. There are numerous ways to get your hands dirty, your feet wet and your heart full.
How to Get Involved
- Visit our calendar of upcoming events.
- Learn about the river through our riverside educational programs, readings and website.
- Join us for a workday of river cleanup or trail maintenance.
- Attend meetings or talk to your town’s representative to raise an issue or keep up to date.
- Enjoy fishing, walking, picnicking, biking, photographing or dipping your toes in the water while respecting the plants and animals all around you. Stay on trails and pack out all litter. NOTE: very few pullouts along the river and trails have either trash receptacles or toilets. Please plan for this. You can be an even better river steward by bringing a bag and picking up any litter you do encounter. - Encourage your town or organization to apply for a Conservation and Stewardship Grant to undertake proactive river projects in your community.
